About the role
A CyberArk Engineer is a cybersecurity professional who implements, administers, and supports CyberArk Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions to secure privileged accounts, credentials, and sensitive systems. Their primary objective is to prevent unauthorized access to critical IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure CyberArk components:
- Enterprise Password Vault (EPV)
- Password Vault Web Access (PVWA)
- Central Policy Manager (CPM)
- Privileged Session Manager (PSM/PSMP)
- Privileged Threat Analytics (PTA)
- Endpoint Privilege Manager (EPM)
- Onboard privileged accounts, servers, databases, and applications.
- Configure password rotation and credential management policies.
- Integrate CyberArk with:
- Active Directory (AD)
- LDAP
- SIEM platforms
- ITSM tools
- Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Troubleshoot authentication, session management, and password management issues.
- Perform upgrades, patching, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell, Python, or CyberArk REST APIs.
Requirements
- CyberArk PAM architecture
- Windows Server and Linux administration
- Active Directory and LDAP
- Networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, Firewall)
- PowerShell or Python scripting
- SQL basics
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Security concepts such as least privilege and Zero Trust
