Cyber Systems Security Engineer

About the role

Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity systems to protect sensitive data and infrastructure. Conduct security assessments, develop security policies, and respond to security incidents.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure systems and networks
• Conduct security assessments and penetration testing
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures

• Stay current with emerging threats and technologies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in cybersecurity
• CISSP certification preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with network security, encryption, and threat detection tools

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Skills

• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS)
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners
• Understanding of cloud security and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
• Experience with incident response and forensics
