Cyber Systems Security Engineer

Responsibilities
- Hardening operating systems, applications, and network devices
- Conducting vulnerability scans
- Continuous monitoring of the security posture of the system
- Assisting with Government Certification Test and Evaluation (CT&E) and Vulnerability Testing
- Implementing security updates and patches
- Applying configuration changes to ESS, ACAS, and SolarWinds security tools
- Maintaining the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) of the system to include support of the RMF package
- Supporting system administrators, engineers, and operators when troubleshooting events
- Collaborating with system stakeholders to ensure the cybersecurity posture of the system is maintained
- Supporting the Security Impact Analysis (SIA) process through the generation of Contract Deliverables (CDRL) and RMF supporting artifacts both on unclassified and classified networks
Requirements
- Demonstrable and relevant cybersecurity engineering or systems administration experience
- Good working knowledge of Linux or Windows based systems
- IAT Level II Certification or higher (e.g. CompTIA Security+ or CISSP)
- Ability to obtain a Secret DoD security clearance prior to starting this position
- US Citizenship required for consideration
- Ability to travel up to 10% travel to our customer sites throughout the U.S.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Tenable Security Center, Tenable Nessus, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) administration experience
- Trellix and Endpoint Security Solution (ESS) administration and monitoring
- SPLUNK tools experience
- Linux/Red Hat or Windows OS certifications
- Experience with Windows Active Directory and Group Policy maintenance
- Familiarity with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
- Good organizational and coordination skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to support and collaborate with a team
- Critical thinking skills to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity
Skills
- Experience with ESS, ACAS, or SolarWinds security tools
- Familiarity with DISA STIGs
- Troubleshooting as a systems administrator

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week to non-standard 40-hour work weeks as assigned by leadership.
