This position is based out of Fort Gordon, GA. Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this role does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 technical support (including Domain Administration, System Administration, and Network Administration).
• Monitor and maintain the smooth operation of computer systems, applications, and the user experience.
• Provide effective communication across multi-functional teams, stakeholders, and end users.
• Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
• Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes.
• Provide support for IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all supported devices, including mobile devices.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and issue resolution.
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of issue status to program management and end users.
• Configure and manage Linux and Windows operating systems, including installing/loading operating system software, patches, and configuring network components.
• Implement operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance, and perform troubleshooting as needed.
• Configure and manage virtualized environments, virtual networking, and storage solutions.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship.
• Active Top Secret / SCI security clearance (must be in place by start date and remain active throughout employment).
• Current DoD 8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+ CE) before start date.

Qualifications

Cyber Systems Administrator

• Master’s Degree with 0 years of experience; OR
• Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience; OR
• Four (4) years of additional relevant experience in place of a degree.

Principal Cyber Systems Administrator

• PhD with 1 year of experience; OR
• Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience; OR
• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience; OR
• Four (4) years of additional relevant experience in place of a degree.

Skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with on-premise environments.
• Administration of virtualization environments using technologies such as vCenter, ESXi, and storage provisioning, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of virtual servers and workstations.
• Experience with multiple Linux distributions and ability to navigate via command line (e.g., Ubuntu, Red Hat, PyPi, CentOS).
• Experience troubleshooting and configuring Windows operating system and Windows Server environments (e.g., Active Directory, DHCP, GPOs, DNS, LDAP, MS Exchange, MECM, MSSQL, WSUS).
• Knowledge of routing protocols, ports, and layer 2/3 switch configuration.
• Ability to administer and maintain Atlassian Products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo).
• Ability to administer and maintain Virtual Desktop Environment technologies (e.g., Horizon, Dell Wyse Management).
• Experience using and maintaining monitoring tools (e.g., ELK, SolarWinds, VMware Aria).
• Functional knowledge of networking (e.g., Cisco and/or VMware NSX technologies).
• Functional knowledge of storage solutions (e.g., NetApp, Synology).
• Functional knowledge of backup applications (e.g., VEEAM) and ability to implement backup and recovery solutions.
• Desire and aptitude to learn new technologies, develop skills, and enhance troubleshooting capabilities.

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 – $108,100.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 – $134,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline. Northrop Grumman considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions when determining base salary offers. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
