About the role

As a Senior Cyber Security Engineer at Honeywell, you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect our products, critical assets, and customer data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement cybersecurity solutions to protect our products and customer data.
  • Develop and integrate Agentic AI workflows with ongoing Product Cyber services and development practices.
  • Directly enable efficient, effective Product Cyber processes through automation and system integration.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate product security services into the software development lifecycle and our products.
  • Support product security services that issue millions of product certificates and sign tens of millions of product elements each year.

Requirements

You must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of Software Engineering experience, preferably with a cyber focus, in Java, Groovy, and/or Python.
  • Understanding of common AI usage models with a drive to integrate this into our secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC).
  • Basic knowledge of product security concepts, public key infrastructures, and system integration.
  • Interest in learning new disciplines and then helping others leverage those better.
  • Understanding of SSDLC and DevSecOps practices.

We value:

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and their security models.
  • Hands-on experience with several of the following: JIRA, ServiceNow, Ubiquity, Jenkins, Claude, GitHub, Software Composition Analysis Tools, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

Qualifications

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, the candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status, or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
