This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a detail-oriented candidate with hands-on experience securing infrastructure, administering firewall environments, and maintaining consistent configuration standards. The role focuses on protecting critical systems, improving security controls, and helping ensure reliable performance across the organization’s network landscape.
Responsibilities
- Administer and enhance cybersecurity controls across network and infrastructure environments to reduce risk and support secure operations.
- Configure, monitor, and maintain Check Point and Cisco ASA firewall platforms to enforce security policies and sustain dependable connectivity.
- Investigate security issues, identify vulnerabilities, and implement corrective actions to strengthen the organization’s defensive posture.
- Review firewall rules and access controls regularly, making updates that align with business needs and security requirements.
- Support configuration management practices by documenting changes, maintaining baseline settings, and promoting consistency across security devices.
- Partner with internal technical teams to troubleshoot network security concerns and deliver effective solutions for operational challenges.
- Perform ongoing analysis of security events and system behavior to help detect threats and improve response readiness.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in cybersecurity engineering or a closely related network security role.
- Hands-on expertise with Check Point firewall administration and support.
- Strong working knowledge of firewall technologies, including policy management, access control, and traffic filtering.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting Cisco ASA environments.
- Familiarity with configuration management processes and disciplined change documentation.
- Solid understanding of network security principles, threat mitigation, and infrastructure protection.
- Ability to analyze technical issues, prioritize risks, and communicate solutions clearly with cross-functional teams.
