Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

Provides expert technical support within Special Access Programs (SAPs), ensuring systems meet NIST Cybersecurity standards for assessment and authorization.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of security engineers
• Chair cybersecurity working groups
• Oversee security program policies
• Offer technical consultation on system designs
• Develop risk management strategies
• Support site activation and system testing
• Work with authorities to obtain system Authorization to Operate (ATO)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 12+ years of related experience, including 8+ years in SCI/SAR environments
• 4+ years of experience in Special Access Programs (SAP)
• Certifications in IAT and IAM Level 3 within 6 months of hire
• Deep understanding of RMF, JSIG, and DoD security policies
• Current Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• Willingness to undergo polygraph
• Ability to travel as required
• Capability to work in office settings and access secure areas
