About the Role

We’re looking for a Cybersecurity Architect to lead the architecture and design of innovative Cybersecurity solutions and service offerings for the U.S. Government. You’ll collaborate with a dynamic team of thought leaders and experts to identify the right mix of tools and techniques, translating customer IT needs and future goals into secure, effective solutions. This role involves investigating new techniques, breaking free from legacy models, and guiding the team through critical network design decisions to balance security and mission needs.

This is an opportunity to make a difference in national security by tackling advanced cyber threats and shaping solutions in domains like IoT, Cloud security, Automation and Orchestration (A&O), identity and access management, and machine learning.

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture and design efforts for Cybersecurity solutions protecting federal networks.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders (CISO, CIO, CTO) to ideate, build, and execute cybersecurity capability maturation.
  • Work with project and proposal teams to incorporate Cybersecurity solutions and develop high-quality implementation plans and roadmaps.
  • Investigate and implement new techniques to harden systems and reduce attack surfaces.
  • Author technical documentation, whitepapers, and blogs on leading Cybersecurity topics.
  • Customize solutions to maintain a balance between security and mission needs.
  • Guide the selection, design, and implementation of security tools and capabilities for large, complex organizations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Cybersecurity.
  • 5+ years of experience leading technical project delivery for large, complex organizations.
  • 5+ years of experience in network architecture and design.
  • Ability to work with and guide senior leaders, including CISO, CIO, and CTO.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with project and proposal teams to develop implementation plans and roadmaps.
  • Secret clearance (required).
  • HS diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a Cybersecurity compliance, operations, or engineering leadership role.
  • Experience selecting, designing, and implementing security tools for large federal or commercial organizations.
  • Experience with innovative Cybersecurity capabilities, including A&O, AI/machine learning, NGFW, and Big Data.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Information Security Certification (e.g., CEH, CISM, CCSP, CCSK, CISSP, CompTIA Security+).

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week are eligible for benefits. Individuals below this threshold are eligible for select offerings, excluding health benefits.

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800 to $257,000 (annualized USD). Salary is determined by factors including location, education, skills, experience, and organizational requirements.

Schedule

This role may be remote, hybrid, or onsite:

  • Remote: Primarily virtual, with occasional in-person requirements at Booz Allen or customer facilities.
  • Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential customer site visits as needed.
  • Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, with direct collaboration required.

Employees working virtually are generally expected to have cameras on during meetings to support engagement and communication.
