Cyber Policy and Strategy Planner Junior - Clearance Required

About the role

The anticipated award of this effort is Fall 2026. This effort encompasses tasks that provide USCYBERCOM with the sustained ability to fulfill its mission to direct, synchronize, and coordinate cyberspace planning and operations to defend and advance national interests in collaboration with domestic and international partners. These tasks include coordinating, synchronizing, deconflicting, and integrating operational planning efforts for full-spectrum cyberspace operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide Cyberspace Operations Support Services (COSS) aligned with the following core disciplines: Cyberspace Operations, Cyberspace Planning, Cyberspace Training and Exercises, Strategy/Policy/Doctrine Development and Campaign, Assessments, Information Technology (IT)/Communications, Business Area Support and Project Management Engagement Activities.
• Meet the evolving cyberspace operations mission in support of the Joint warfighter.

Requirements

• High School Diploma plus 3-5 years of relevant experience is required OR Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus 1-3 years of relevant experience is required OR Master’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus 1 year of relevant experience is required.
• Experience reviewing existing cyber policy, strategy documents, and statutory guidance and assisting in drafting sections of cyberspace plans.
• Experience conducting basic research on emerging cyber threats, standards and populating templates and maintain version controlled document libraries.
• Must possess a current US Security Clearance TS/SCI w/ poly.

Qualifications

• Strong written communication skills; demonstrated ability to produce clear, concise policy documents for senior leadership.
• Familiarity with DoD cyber policy frameworks and relevant statutory authorities.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Analytical thinking for gap analysis and strategic foresight.
• Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
• Proficiency with document-management tools and version-control systems.
• Understanding of emerging cyber threat trends and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO).
• Experience in a DoD, intelligence-community, or allied-nation cyber environment (preferred).

Skills

• Uses cyber security processes, methods, techniques and tools and assures their consistent application.
• Implements appropriate Assessment and Authorization activities as required by customers.

• Full-Time Salary Range: $91200.00 - $169400.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
