About the role

The Joint Capability Management Office (JCMO) seeks an experienced individual to manage the development of responses to high-priority/high-visibility taskings, ensuring optimal resource allocation and timely achievement of performance objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manages JCMO development of responses to high-priority/high-visibility taskings.
  • Oversees team members' use of the Workload Management System (WMS) for capturing, documenting, and disseminating information on action items and other time-sensitive taskings.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact and facilitator for JCMO’s collaboration on substantive cyber program issues and external partnerships.
  • Learns and applies recognized expertise to lead and facilitate discussions among functional and analytical SMEs, especially when consensus is challenging to achieve.
  • Prepares, presents, and justifies authoritative recommendations for significant changes in strategies, programs, and policies/processes.
  • Supports and participates in efforts to define and document JCMO’s program strategies and plans.
  • Reports metrics on administrative management functions to the Director, including deriving meaning and explaining potential effects on the Directorate’s ability to support the Command’s mission, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Leads, contributes to, and coordinates efforts to generate and provide detailed, justifiable inputs to the budget planning process.

Requirements

  • Conditions of employment: Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, and may be required to work overtime.
  • Travel: Occasional travel away from the normal duty station on military and/or commercial aircraft may be required.
  • Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET SCI clearance as a condition of employment and must complete a counterintelligence scope polygraph exam.
  • Employment Authority: Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position, such as coordinating with technical teams and operational customers on integration of cyber operations; providing strategic advice to align mission needs with actionable plans; evaluating effectiveness of processes to improve efficiency across the organization; managing tasks across multiple cyberspace programs.
