Responsibilities

  • Direct strategic planning and inter-agency collaboration with national partners (CNMF, USCYBERCOM) to forge critical information-sharing agreements and operational frameworks.
  • Advise senior leadership by delivering data-driven analysis and recommending Courses of Action (COAs) for complex cyberspace challenges.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of planning initiatives, ensuring strict security compliance while overseeing meeting logistics, documentation, and high-stakes action items.
  • Integrate national partner capabilities into active cyberspace operations by developing guidance, identifying opportunities, and refining contingency plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement by leading post-event analysis to translate lessons learned into enhanced strategies and operational processes.
  • Provide rapid, decisive analytical support on high visibility, time-sensitive cyberspace issues to enable effective leadership decisions.
  • Execute approved operational plans, facilitate coordinated action among diverse stakeholders, and provide analytical support for core business functions.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access and a counterintelligence scope polygraph exam.
  • Must meet NSA personnel security requirements outlined in NSA/CSS Policy 5-1.
  • May be recalled to duty, required to work other than normal duty hours (including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays), and may be required to work overtime.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • This position requires a 3-year trial period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.
  • Must comply with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs; may be subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.
  • Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
  • Must satisfactorily complete appropriate training and obtain required certification/recertification for this position as outlined in DoDM 8140.03.

Qualifications

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled and may include:

  • Directing collaborative strategic or operational planning with national, interagency, or external partners to establish formal operational agreements and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Conducting research to advise leadership on recommended operational Courses of Action and managing all facets of complex, multi-stakeholder, or interagency planning meetings, from agenda-setting to action-item tracking.
  • Developing strategic guidance from internal teams, supporting the execution of operational or contingency plans, and leading post-event analysis or after-action reviews.
  • Providing analytical support for high-priority, short-suspense tasks, ensuring the coordinated and effective execution of leadership directives across diverse organizational stakeholders.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Education may not be substituted for experience for this position.

Pay

Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.

Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances may be authorized, subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations and an agency determination that a PCS move is in the Government Interest.

Relocation/Recruitment incentive may be authorized for highly qualified candidates.

Advanced-in-hire and advanced leave accrual may be authorized.
