Cyber EW/T&E Engineer (Info. Systems & Cyber Security, Analyst)

This position currently requires an onsite schedule and is eligible for Compressed Work Schedule (CWS). Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with clients to develop test plans, lead the execution of test events and deliver final result briefings and reports. Test event types may include, but are not limited to, Developmental and Operational Tests, Security/Vulnerability Assessments.
  • Apply computer knowledge and skills in support of test execution; such knowledge and skills may include, but are not limited to, Windows and Linux system administration, network configuration and traffic analysis, light programming/scripting; occasional examinations of client database designs and source code.
  • Participate in various exercises on the national cyber range and identify gaps, constraints, policy limitations, etc., that affect the conduct of robust cyber testing.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to develop test methodologies, scenarios, and data collection plans to ensure test adequacy; when necessary, work with clients to identify their test requirements and assist in development and coordination of Test & Evaluation Master Plans.
  • Occasionally attend T&E and EW related conferences and participate in technical working groups; observe external cyber exercises/tests/demonstrations and report on findings/issues/concerns/etc.
  • Assist in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for the total system(s).
  • Analyze user requirements, procedures and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations.
  • Travel up to 5%, as needed.

Requirements

  • 3 - 10 years of related experience.
  • Current Security+ certification.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Current Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly clearance; please note that the clearance process takes into account financial background aspects.

Qualifications

  • RF and Electromagnetic Fundamentals: Deep understanding of radio frequency (RF) systems, antennas, signal propagation, electromagnetic spectrum operations, radar principles, jamming techniques, electronic attack (EA), electronic protection (EP), and electronic support (ES). Knowledge of threat systems, air defense principles, and survivability.
  • Test and Evaluation (T&E) Expertise: Proficiency in developing test plans, flight test cards, executing tests (lab, ground, flight), data collection/analysis, anomaly identification, and verification/validation. Knowledge of measures of performance/effectiveness (MOP/MOE), risk assessment, and safety protocols in flight test environments.
  • Tools and Software: MATLAB and Excel.
  • Standards and Compliance: Familiarity with military standards (MIL-STDs), DoD test processes, FIPS/NIST where applicable, and security protocols.

Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline. A high school diploma plus four (4) years of additional work experience related to the position may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree. A related Master's degree may be considered in lieu of 2 years of required experience.

Pay

For this position, the projected compensation range is $115,000 - $130,000 per year. Final salary is determined based on individual qualifications, education, experience, and contractual limitations.
