Cyber Engineer III

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute cybersecurity incident response activities, including investigation, reporting, and remediation.
• Perform cyber incident triage to determine scope, urgency, and potential impact.
• Administer and maintain enterprise Elastic Stack environments.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting using Computer Network Defense (CND) tools (IDS, firewalls, network traffic logs, and host system logs).
• Identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies to strengthen cybersecurity posture.
• Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and define follow-up corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed documentation and accurate incident records.
• Provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders to improve overall security posture.
• Stay current with cybersecurity threats, trends, and incident response best practices.
• Mentor team members and lead complex incident response efforts when required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to secure both cloud and on-prem environments.

Requirements

• Clearance: Active Secret clearance
• Experience: 10+ years of cybersecurity or incident response experience, 3+ years of hands-on administration and engineering with the Elastic Stack
• Education: Bachelors Degree
• Certifications (IAT III – one required): CASP+, CCNP Security, CISACISSP (or Associate) (preferred), GCED, GCIH

Pay

$140,000 - $150,000 *depending on experience*
