About the role

ANS is seeking a Protocol Analyst (Cyber Analyst) to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role involves planning, analyzing, designing, developing, testing, securing, integrating, implementing, operating, and maintaining the custom solutions that Applied Network Solutions delivers.

Requirements

• Security clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph (required)
• Relevant experience in signals analysis, including protocol analysis; preferably with communication signals, network troubleshooting, network traffic characterization, and/or network security analysis
• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of experience
  • Master’s degree plus 6 years of experience
  • Doctoral degree plus 4 years of experience
  • High school diploma or GED plus 12 years of relevant experience
  • Associate’s degree plus 10 years of experience (acceptable if combined with specific military training)
• Military training courses that satisfy experience requirements:
  • 4521 (Intermediate Signals Analysis)
  • 452 (Advanced Signals Analysis)
  • Participation in or graduation from the Military COMINT Signals Analysis Program (MCSAP)
• Preferred military training (not required to have every item):
  • 451/461 (Intermediate Signals Analysis)
  • 452 (Advanced Signals Analysis)
  • Military COMINT Signals Analysis Program (MCSAP)

Pay

The anticipated pay range for this position is $100,000.00 – $200,000.00 USD.

Schedule

Full‑time position with flexible work schedules. Overtime is not guaranteed.
