Essential Functions

  • Administers the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Administers non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, traction, heat, light, cold, water, and electrical modalities to patients.
  • Accurately documents daily, weekly or monthly records of clients' status. Submits clinical paperwork to the office on time each week.
  • Attends educational meetings and coordinates and contributes to department in-services.
  • Notifies physical therapist, Clinical Manager or Branch/Clinical Director of any equipment failures, lack of supplies, staff or client changes and any other departmental changes.
  • Schedules clients and performs varied office tasks.
  • Applies concepts of infection control and universal precautions in performing patient care activities.
  • Accepts clinical assignments that are consistent with education and competence to care for patients.
  • Promotes compliance with all fiscal intermediaries and/or other third party payors, through education, coaching and other assistance as necessary.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Uses effective interpersonal relations and communication skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the physical, emotional, social and biological changes that occur in the geriatric population.
  • Self-directed, enthusiastic and accepts constructive feedback.
  • Maintains current licensure certifications and meets mandatory continuing education requirements.
  • Demonstrates commitment, professional growth and competency.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule and travel locally.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and cooperatively as an effective team member.
  • Ability to do heavy lifting, bending, pulling, pushing and standing.

Qualifications

  • Current state license to practice Physical Therapy - Required.
  • Proof of current CPR certification - Required.
  • Current driver's license - Required.
  • Must have reliable transportation and insurance - Required.
  • 2 years experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant - Required.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy - Required.

Pay & Benefits

  • Pay Rate Range: 43 - 48 USD hourly.
  • Additional Notes: The individual selected for this role will be offered the role as an employee of Atrium; compensation, medical benefits, fringe benefits and other terms and conditions of employment shall be presented by Atrium upon offer.
  • The pay rate range provided is a reasonable estimate of the anticipated compensation range for this job at the time of posting. The actual pay rate will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, location and/or being pursued and other job-related factors permitted by law.
  • In addition, this role will be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements.
