CVB Sponsorship Sales Manager

Essential Functions

  • Develops, implements, and manages sponsorships to support Grapevine CVB festivals, events, and attractions, including Main Street Fest, GrapeFest, Christmas Capital of Texas, North Pole Express, Nash Farm events, and other CVB-produced activities.
  • Solicits and secures corporate cash and in-kind sponsorships to meet established annual goals, while maintaining and growing long-term sponsor relationships.
  • Plans and executes sponsorship sales and marketing strategies through direct outreach, presentations, written proposals, and in-person meetings.
  • Develops sponsorship packets, sales materials, and presentations for festivals, events, and CVB assets.
  • Maintains accurate and updated reports and databases for sponsors, prospects, vendors, and community partners; provides weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on sales and sponsorship activity participation.
  • Works collaboratively with internal teams—including Marketing and Communications, Sales, and Festivals and Events—to ensure consistent messaging, accurate event information, and the successful delivery of sponsorship initiatives.
  • Manages event and sponsorship budgets; monitors expenses and operates within established guidelines.
  • Represents the CVB at civic, service, and community meetings to promote sponsorships, foster relationships, and enhance community engagement.
  • Ensures timely and professional communication with both sponsors and partners and provides high-quality customer service before, during, and after each event.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including strong public speaking and presentation abilities.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles and practices, including sponsorship development and relationship management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of event production, programming, logistics, and operational planning.
  • Self-reliant, results-oriented, and highly organized with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong financial and budget management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, skilled in the use of computers, databases, and CRM/CMS platforms for data entry, recordkeeping, and reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with staff, sponsors, vendors, and the public in a professional and tactful manner.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to see projects through from planning to completion.
  • Knowledge of office and business procedures, City policies and regulations, and applicable health and alcohol laws.
  • Audio/Visual skills preferred.

Education, Experience And Other Requirements

  • A Bachelors degree plus two years of sales experience with sponsorship and/or advertising sales and marketing.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

Physical Demands

  • Regular and timely attendance is required for this position.
  • Interacts professionally and respectfully with the public, coworkers, and others in the course of daily work.
  • While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to perform light to medium work that involves walking or standing, use the computer keyboard and mouse, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, stand, walk, and stoop, or crouch.
  • This position requires occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
