About the Role
The Cardiovascular Sonographer performs advanced ultrasound imaging to assist in diagnosing and monitoring various medical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Operate ultrasound equipment.
- Capture high-quality diagnostic images.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Sonography program with clinical hours or on-the-job training by a registered Preceptor.
- No prior experience required.
- State licensure may be needed depending on location.
Qualifications
- Certification: ARDMS (RVT) or CCI (RVS) or ARRT (RVS), plus ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS), or eligible to obtain certification within 6 months.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in producing diagnostic images and recognizing abnormalities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Knowledge of protocols, machine operation, safety procedures, and emergency protocols.
- Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.
- Prolonged standing and walking.
- Capable of gripping, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting to perform duties.
