About the role
This position supports the production of high-quality cubicle curtain and tracking systems.
Responsibilities
- Unroll and spread fabric in layers on tables
- Arrange patterns on fabric and mark outlines of patterns
- Set and operate cutting machines
- Label and tie bundles of parts
- Drill holes through layers of fabric or cut notches in edges
- Operate automatic machines that use computerized patterns
- Cut fabric using an electric hand cutter
- Mark and cut cloth and fabric into pieces for trimming
- Perform quality checks of parts after production
- Implement color changes as required
- Clean up scrap produced by molding machines
- Assemble hardware packages for boxed products
- Grind runners and poorly produced parts
- Complete quality checks and related paperwork
- Perform general clean-up of the department at shift end
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to take directions and work well as a team or independently
- Strong math aptitude
- Ability to lift 100 lbs.
