About the role
Join our Upholstery Production team as a Gerber Cutter, where precision and efficiency come together to support the creation of high-quality furniture.
Responsibilities
- Operate Gerber automated cutting systems to cut upholstery fabrics and materials according to work orders and digital markers.
- Load and position fabric and materials to ensure efficient, accurate cutting.
- Review patterns, markers, and layouts to verify proper setup before cutting.
- Maintain machine operation and adjust settings to meet product specifications.
- Inspect materials and finished components to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Cut multiple layers of fabric into components such as cushions, pillows, seats, arms, and backs.
- Prepare and stage materials, confirming correct alignment and orientation prior to cutting.
- Ensure proper identification, labeling, and bundling of cut parts to support production flow.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous production, manufacturing, or warehouse experience is preferred.
- Strong active listening, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team is necessary.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills are required.
