2nd Shift Fabric Cutter, Gerber Operator

About the role

The Fabric Cutter - Gerber Operator position is located in Claremont, NC. You’ll be excited about this opportunity because you will:

• Check that correct fabric is brought out and check for shade variations and any other defects prior to cutting.
• Be responsible for straightness, fabric repeat issues and other issues related to correct fabric appearance on the finished piece.
• Be responsible for spreading and cutting fabric in the most economical way.
• tagging and separating the cover for distribution to sewing department.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in fabric cutting for upper end upholstered furniture.
• Experience reading and understanding production tickets.
• Ability to interpret simple cutting instructions commonly placed in a cutting manual.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Team-oriented personality
• Experience working with the Gerber 2500
• Experience in Flow Matching

Skills

• Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs.
