An established international logistics and customs brokerage organization is seeking a Customs Brokerage Supervisor to oversee daily import-entry operations and support an experienced brokerage team in the Northwest Chicago suburbs.

About the role

This is a hands-on leadership position for a licensed customs brokerage professional who can guide Entry Writers, review entries, resolve compliance issues, and assist directly with entry processing when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily customs brokerage and import-entry activities.
  • Coordinate workflow and assign entries across the brokerage team.
  • Review entries and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Guide Entry Writers on CBP regulations, client procedures, and PGA requirements.
  • Resolve Customs rejections, RFIs, holds, and documentation issues.
  • Prepare and transmit customs entries when operational support is needed.
  • Train, coach, and develop brokerage employees.
  • Maintain SOPs and improve accuracy, productivity, and turnaround time.

Requirements

  • Active U.S. Customs Broker License required.
  • Five or more years of U.S. customs brokerage experience.
  • Strong hands-on customs entry preparation and review experience.
  • Working knowledge of ACE, ABI, CBP regulations, and import compliance.
  • Previous experience supervising, leading, or mentoring Entry Writers.
  • Experience with Partner Government Agency requirements.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in the Northwest Chicago suburbs.

Pay

$85,000–$100,000 Base
