About the role

The Customs Brokerage Manager oversees daily Customs Brokerage workflow, priorities, and entry-processing activity. They review Customs entries and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance, guide Entry Writers on CBP regulations, documentation, classifications, and filing requirements, prepare, review, and file Customs entries when needed, resolve rejected entries, RFIs, Customs holds, and documentation discrepancies, support compliance involving CBP and Partner Government Agencies, train, coach, and develop Entry Writers and brokerage support employees, maintain and improve SOPs, workflow, turnaround time, and operational accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily Customs Brokerage workflow, priorities, and entry-processing activity.
  • Review Customs entries and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Guide Entry Writers on CBP regulations, documentation, classifications, and filing requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and file Customs entries when additional operational support is needed.
  • Resolve rejected entries, RFIs, Customs holds, and documentation discrepancies.
  • Support compliance involving CBP and Partner Government Agencies.
  • Train, coach, and develop Entry Writers and brokerage support employees.
  • Maintain and improve SOPs, workflow, turnaround time, and operational accuracy.

Requirements

  • Active U.S. Customs Broker License required.
  • 5+ years of direct U.S. Customs Brokerage Operations experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience preparing, filing, or reviewing Customs entries.
  • Thorough understanding of CBP regulations, import documentation, and trade compliance.
  • Experience supervising, mentoring, or technically leading Entry Writers.
  • Ability to identify and resolve entry, documentation, and compliance issues.
  • Comfortable working onsite in Moonachie, New Jersey.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Pay

$90,000–$115,000 Base + Benefits
