Customs Brokerage Agent- Logistics-Cargo Customs

This is an on-site role, not remote or work-from-home.
Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth and timely customs process flow
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
- Track and trace customs files and reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely client billing
- Understand all elements of the import and export customs Desk Level Operating Procedure and correctly interpret this information to fulfill customer instructions and expectations
- Transfer customs declaration information from documents or other sources into the customs entry system to build a valid customs declaration
- Assist with verification of customs declaration information and submission to the customs authority
- Ensure compliance at all times with regulations

Qualifications
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and computer skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
- Fluent in English (reading and writing)
- Good knowledge of customs brokerage process, customs legislation (especially classification, valuation, and origin) is a plus
- Understanding of ocean, road, and air documentation processes is beneficial

Schedule
Full-time (40 hours per week), Monday through Friday. Business professional dress code.
