Customer Team Member

We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Team Member at SPAR Newark PFS. You will play a vital role in supporting our store management team and creating a positive customer experience by maximizing sales and profit through allocated tasks, ensuring great customer service with a focus on ‘Brilliant Basics, Moments of Wow, Food for later and Food for now!’

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Answer customer inquiries about products and services and assist in finding items.
• Process customer purchases efficiently and accurately through the tills while maintaining a positive and friendly service.
• Upsell selected products and highlight multi-buy offers to maximize sales.
• Manage stock by checking deliveries, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and organized sales floor.
• Rotate stock to ensure freshness and timely expiration dates.
• Complete assigned tasks such as date checking, stock and gap checking, price changes, and promotional displays.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and processes.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role and/or industry is preferred.
• Ability to reliably follow instructions and procedures with excellent attention to detail.
• Understanding of legislative responsibilities in a retail environment and skills to assist with adherence.
• Ability to contribute ideas for delivering exceptional customer service and driving the business forward.
• Experience using a ‘Challenge 25’ policy is desirable.
• Keen and enthusiastic approach to working both in a team and independently.
• Previous cash handling experience is preferred but not essential.

Pay

Up to £12.25 per hour (depending on age).

Schedule
