Customer Support Specialist
About the Role
This position is a rotating dayshift. The professional at this role is responsible for greeting clients, ensuring an orderly and efficient check-in process, acquiring financial and insurance information, and performing data entry into electronic health records. Additionally, this role provides administrative support services and basic clerical support, including answering phone calls and directing visitors. This position may also involve creating and maintaining telehealth connections between clients and providers.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate client appointments
- Conduct referral and intake interviews with clients
- Enter and update electronic health records
- Verify client insurance prior to appointments and enter funding sources following company procedures
- Request records from other facilities to ensure continuity of care
- Communicate with outside agencies regarding the provision or scheduling of services
- Collect payments from clients, provide proper receipts, and secure the funds
- Provide administrative clerical support
- Operate the telephone to forward calls or take messages as appropriate
- Greet persons entering the building, determine the nature of the visit, and notify appropriate staff of their arrival
- Maintain training compliance as required by Westbrook Health Services
Requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and customer service skills
- Able to use basic office machines and computer systems
- Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately to convey and receive correct information
- Ability to work with staff, clients, and family members in a professional, cooperative, ethical, and respectful manner
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people
- Ability to effectively convey the mission of Westbrook Health Services
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Prior computer/PC experience is preferred
- Experience using an electronic health record or medical scheduling software preferred
- Customer service or medical office experience preferred
- Must pass Criminal Investigation Background and DHHR Background Checks as well as an observed urine drug screen
