Customer Support Specialist

About the role
The Customer Support Specialist is responsible for handling customer inquiries, supporting order management activities, and resolving issues to ensure a high level of service and responsiveness. This role works closely with Sales, Supply Chain, and Operations to support customer needs and ensure accurate and timely execution. The position plays a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction, supporting internal processes, and contributing to overall service performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer inquiries related to orders, products, pricing, and delivery timelines
- Process and support customer orders with accuracy and attention to detail
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and complete order fulfillment
- Monitor order status and communicate updates to customers proactively
- Resolve order discrepancies, billing issues, and service-related concerns
- Maintain accurate customer and order data within ERP and CRM systems
- Support documentation and recordkeeping related to customer interactions
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance customer experience
- Escalate complex issues to senior team members or leadership as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2–4 years of experience in customer support, customer service, or a related role (manufacturing or distribution preferred)
- Experience working with ERP and/or CRM systems (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, or similar)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to resolve issues effectively
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
