About the role
The Customer Support Specialist is responsible for assisting customers by answering inquiries, resolving issues, and providing product or service information. The role focuses on ensuring a positive customer experience through timely, accurate, and professional communication across multiple support channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, chat, or social media in a timely manner
- Resolve product or service issues by troubleshooting and providing solutions
- Aid customers with orders, billing questions, returns, and account updates
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions in CRM systems
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level support or technical teams when necessary
- Follow company policies and procedures while handling customer concerns
- Provide product information and guide customers in using services effectively
- Collect customer feedback and report recurring issues to improve service quality
Required Skills & Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelors degree preferred)
- Previous experience in customer service or support role is an advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with CRM or ticketing systems
- Patience, empathy, and a customer-first mindset
Preferred Skills
- Experience in remote or work-from-home customer support environments
- Familiarity with tools like Zendesk, Freshdesk, Salesforce, or similar platforms
- Typing speed and accuracy for chat-based support roles
- Technical support experience (for IT or SaaS companies)
