Customer Support Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced customer service engineer to install, maintain, and troubleshoot SMT equipment.

Qualifications/Experience Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to travel.
• Mechanical, electrical, and software skills are a must.
• Five or more years of experience in manufacturing and automation.
• Customer support preferred.
• Experience using CAD and CAM software preferred.

Function And Scope

• Receive direct service calls from customers.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and restore function to non-functioning components including servos, sensors, and control components.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on existing automation equipment.
• Install, maintain, and replace automation systems at key points in the production process.
• Provide customer training.
• Plan and schedule service trips.
• Issue quotes to customers.
• Log equipment usage, parts replacement, and scheduled maintenance to ensure maximum functionality.
• Periodically report to leadership regarding automation capabilities and status.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships and communicate equipment status often to the customer.
• Generate service reports for the customer and management.
• Follow all procedures and work instructions as defined in the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60,000.00 - $100,000.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
