About the role
Supports the daily operation of Surventis products in Customer Automotive Assembly Plants by providing on-site technical and application knowledge. Responds to customer requirements, enforces product quality/performance specification, and supports new product/application development.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site expertise of product performance including color management, defect identification, and corrective action if necessary.
- Assure product performance meets or exceeds customer expectations and supports business objectives to be our customer’s supplier of choice.
- Respond to customer requirements, enforce product quality/performance specification, and support new product/application development.
- Support the efforts of a Surventis sales/technical team to assure value to the customer for product technical support, problem investigation, analysis, and resolution.
- Manage existing relationships and develop new ones.
- Act as a capable leader and mentor to coach and develop team members as well as providing ready support for other facilities and customer locations.
- Develop monthly scorecards and identify opportunities for continuous improvement for presentation to management.
- Be a subject matter expert in at least one technology of the coating process i.e., Ecoat, prime, basecoat or clearcoat.
- Maintain the database for smart chart and color care, inventory, and forecasting.
Requirements
- A high school diploma required, advanced degree preferred.
- 4-7+ years of automotive coatings or equivalent industry expertise; ability to utilize advanced knowledge of the painting process and paint applications.
- Ability to develop and grow customer relationships, focusing on building a positive rapport with customers.
- Utilize inventory control/ERP knowledge to collect and analyze data and apply results to make material and/or process recommendations.
- Show strong attention to detail to continuously inspect and evaluate topcoat defects.
- Show excellent interpersonal skills to interact with the team and management at our customer facility.
- Show strong leadership ability to run a shift on your own with minimal supervision.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment to complete instrument updates and calibrations as well as ancillary paint processes such as spot repair and workability trial processes.
Qualifications

Surventis is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $71,600-$81,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
