About the role

We are seeking a self-motivated, friendly, and detail-oriented Customer Service Specialist with a knowledge of and/or deep interest in natural health and wellness, particularly in supplements and/or body care. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator who enjoys working in teams, is passionate about retail and customer service, and can multitask in a fast-paced environment. Computer savviness and competence with point-of-sale software is a plus. This role requires availability for morning, evening, and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring every customer has a friendly, positive, and helpful experience while helping them find products or alternatives.
  • Operate the point-of-sale register with accuracy and a friendly demeanor.
  • Merchandise products throughout the store, including fronting and facing shelves, executing end caps, and creating product displays as directed.
  • Stock products accurately on shelves or in backstock, and price products using the inventory system.
  • Perform regular cleaning tasks, including taking out trash and recycling, sweeping the sales floor, sanitizing bulk herbs scoops, and ensuring the store is neat and organized.
  • Complete closing duties as scheduled, including helping to front and face shelves for the morning.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with staff to complete daily tasks and maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment.
  • Lift and open boxes up to 30 lbs.
  • Attend trainings, workshops, and staff meetings as needed.
  • Stay informed about industry trends through trade journals, news articles, and other provided resources.
  • Respond to emails and internal communications in a timely manner.
  • Provide floor and section coverage, ensuring punctuality and appropriate communication if late or unable to attend a shift.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of and/or deep interest in natural health and wellness, with a strong background in supplements and/or body care.
  • Availability to work morning, evening, and weekend shifts.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform cleaning tasks.
  • Emotional maturity, patience, and a good sense of humor to navigate diverse customer interactions.

Pay

Hourly wage ranges from $17.50 to $19.00, depending on experience.
