About the role
The Service Advisor communicates with customers about their vehicle repair needs and relays information to the Service Technicians.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and help them determine repairs and relevant costs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge about Boss Shops’ range of services.
- Contact customers to update them about their vehicle’s repair status.
- Coordinate the service center’s scheduling and workflow.
- Service writing, including creating estimates and work orders, finalizing payments, following all cash handling policies, and parts ordering and collecting for all jobs.
- Answer customer questions about service outcomes and consult with Technicians as needed.
- Understand marketing and sales strategies to finalize all transactions.
- Consult with Technicians about needed repairs and communicate those needs with the customer.
- Increase knowledge of products and services to comprehend industry needs.
- Understand the customer’s needs and communicate them to Technicians and vice versa.
- Keep all customer-facing items cleaned, stocked, and up to date.
- Receive merchandise, stock, and update pricing for all showroom products.
- Maintain a complete understanding of the Boss Shop Warranty process.
- Assign work to all technicians within company guidelines.
- Practice and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Report for work in a timely manner when scheduled.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Retail or guest service experience preferred.
- Valid Driver’s license and insurable to drive.
- Able to maintain working knowledge of parts inventory.
- Able to complete the Service Advisor New Team Member Training within the first 90 days of employment.
- Able to work on the computer system efficiently.
- Ability to read, write, and perform math skills.
- Positive, enthusiastic attitude.
- Flexible with the ability to adapt to change when required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, may require weekends and evenings.
- Reliable transportation and phone.
- Must be able to communicate in English.
- Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
- Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.

Pay
$16.00 - $25.00 per hour depending upon qualifications and experience.
