Customer Service - Self Storage Manager

About the role
Public Storage is the self-storage industry leader. Our Property Managers work independently at multiple locations, spending time both inside and outside. The role involves assessing customer storage needs, selling packing and moving supplies, conducting daily storage unit inspections, handling cash deposits, and managing payment collections.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of multiple self-storage locations
- Assess customer storage needs and make suggestions, including selling packing and moving supplies
- Perform daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability
- Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits
- Manage payment collections, including reminder and collection calls
- Transport, lift, and move items weighing up to 35 pounds
- Walk in and around facilities, spending up to 50% of time in outdoor environments (climbing stairs, opening large doors)
- Perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks: sweeping/mopping interior areas and maintaining exterior grounds/curb appeal
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and use of your own vehicle for travel between work locations (mileage reimbursement provided)
- Ability to lift/move items weighing up to 35 pounds
- Comfort working outdoors, including climbing stairs and opening large doors
Qualifications
Successful candidates come from a variety of customer service-centered sales environments, including retail, restaurant, fast food, or other service-based companies.
Schedule
Flexible and full-time schedules between the hours of 9:30am and 6pm (weekends until 5pm). Employees become eligible for full-time benefits by working an average of 20+ hours per week.
