Customer Service - Self Storage Manager

About the role

Public Storage is the self-storage industry leader. Our Property Managers work independently at multiple locations, spending time both inside and outside. They assess customer storage needs, sell packing and moving supplies, conduct daily unit inspections, audit cash drawers, make bank deposits, manage customer payments and collections, and perform cleaning and maintenance of interior and exterior areas.

Responsibilities

• Work independently at multiple locations, spending time both inside and outside
• Assess customer storage needs and make suggestions, including selling packing and moving supplies
• Conduct daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability
• Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits
• Help keep customers current with payments; make reminder and collection calls as needed
• Perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks, including sweeping/mopping interior areas and maintaining exterior grounds/curb appeal clean and free of debris

Requirements

• Ability to transport, lift, or move items weighing up to 35 pounds
• Ability to walk in and around facilities, spending up to 50% of time in outdoor environments, including climbing stairs and opening large doors

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service-centered sales environments such as retail, restaurant, fast food, or other service-based companies
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle for travel between work locations and work-related business (mileage reimbursement provided)

Pay

$15.00 per hour

Schedule

Flexible and full-time schedules between 9:30 am and 6:00 pm (weekends until 5:00 pm). Employees become eligible for full-time benefits by working an average of 20+ hours per week.
