About the role
The Customer Service Representative at Hardscapes Outlet is a seasonal position designed to provide exceptional service to customers through both in-person interactions and phone communication. This role involves assisting customers with product selection, offering knowledgeable advice, processing transactions, and ensuring timely and accurate ticketing and weighing of materials.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone.
- Process orders for hardscape materials such as retaining wall blocks, pavers, patio blocks, aggregate, mulch, and flagstone.
- Complete order forms, calculate charges, and handle deposits and payments.
- Cook up and handle consignment yard needs.
- Absorb basic design ideas and product quantity estimates for landscaping projects.
- Accurately weigh and ticket trucks in a timely manner.
- Maintain and manage inventory records to ensure accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers to meet customer needs.
- Absorb customers with loading products when necessary.
- Perform general upkeep duties including cleaning and maintaining the showroom.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Serve as a backup equipment operator when needed.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Completion of at least one year of college or technical coursework in a Landscaping or related program.
- Acceptable: A minimum of three to six months of relevant experience and/or training in customer service, landscaping, or retail.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered.
