About the role
The Student Customer Service Representative within Housing and Residence Life serves as the initial point of contact for current residents, families, and guests. Responsibilities include answering incoming phone calls, responding to emails, assisting guests in the housing office, and resolving questions or concerns.
Responsibilities
- Represent Housing & Residence Life at university-wide events to promote the on-campus living experience.
- Provide tours of on-campus living spaces to prospective residents, families, and visitors.
- Assist prospective and current students, families, and guests with inquiries regarding residential facilities, campus resources, and university services.
- Respond to inquiries and promote campus life and the UF student experience.
- Maintain and update area procedures, records, and materials.
Requirements

- Must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average.

Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience with retail or customer service in a professional office setting (preferred).
- Extensive knowledge of the University of Florida (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, including multitasking, time management, attention to detail, and record keeping.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated professionalism, dependability, and ability to work as a member of a team.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Pay
$14.00 per hour
Schedule
This position may require shift times on weekends, holidays, and university breaks.
