Customer Service Representative – Pennsauken, NJ or Garner, NC

About the role

The successful candidate will clearly and effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This position acts as the liaison between customers and the company, handling orders, invoices, and daily issues.

Responsibilities

• Professionally handle incoming customer requests and resolve issues promptly, including invoices, billing, payments, pricing, and company policy.
• Receive, review, and process orders.
• Resolve customer complaints and maintain a balance between company policy and customer benefit.
• Partner with Sales and Operations to address issues in the best interest of both the company and the customer.
• Proactively educate customers on order placement and system troubleshooting.
• Use automated information systems to analyze customer situations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance the customer experience.
• Document customer interactions and transactions.
• Ensure daily handling of all invoices for assigned customer accounts.
• Establish and maintain accurate information for assigned customer accounts.
• Compile and generate reports related to customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma (Associate degree preferred).
• 2 years of previous customer service experience.
• Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google-based applications.
• Strong decision-making and analytical abilities.
• Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Effective written and verbal communication with internal and external customers.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and follow directions.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely perform essential job duties consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
• Frequent walking and/or standing required.
• Frequent bending, pushing/pulling, and lifting/carrying of parts.
• Ability to work safely and adhere to the Swanson Safety System.
