This position is responsible for first-line branch customer service, including greeting clients in person or by telephone and assisting them directly or by referral. You will handle cash drawer and vault operations, ATM and cash recycler operations, and daily proof and cash balancing. You will also identify and act on sales opportunities to meet referral goals.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the Core Values of 1st Security Bank and demonstrate dependability and reliability.
  • Understand and follow the Bank’s Customer Service Protocols when interacting with customers.
  • Follow cash handling procedures, count cash, and process customer deposits accurately.
  • Take ownership of the customer experience by being present and willing to help.
  • Help achieve monthly branch goals and meet referral goals to add value to customers or prospects.
  • Participate in customer calls for tasks such as CD maturity notifications, birthday greetings, or marketing campaigns.
  • Be fully knowledgeable and skilled in teller, vault, and safe deposit operations.
  • Process monetary transactions and balance cashbox daily.
  • Handle name and address changes and other account maintenance as needed.
  • Research and resolve customer complaints, assisting other employees and departments when possible.
  • Know the features and benefits of 1st Security’s products and services.
  • Multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Participate in branch operational and audit activities as assigned.
  • Follow security protocols to ensure branch safety.
  • Adhere to 1st Security Bank policies and procedures, supporting management decisions professionally.
  • Travel to assigned 1st Security Bank locations as business needs require.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience within a financial institution.
  • Basic knowledge of all applicable regulations pertaining to the position.
  • Knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering policies, procedures, and related programs.
  • Must be bondable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and other database software.

Physical Demands

  • Operate in a general office environment using office equipment such as phones, computers, adding machines, and currency/coin counters.
  • Stand for extended periods and occasionally bend, reach, or squat to access safety deposit boxes or supplies.
  • Occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Interact frequently with the general public in a quiet to moderate noise environment.

Pay

$20.00 to $23.00 per hour.
