Customer Service Representative - Industrial Logistics Group
Position Overview
Industrial Logistics Group is a temperature-controlled warehousing and logistics provider seeking a Customer Service Representative to support daily operations. This role serves as a key point of contact for customers and drivers, ensuring efficient coordination of inbound and outbound shipments while maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and process incoming truck drivers, ensuring timely check-in and dock flow
- Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments, including pickups and deliveries
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone and email
- Provide accurate updates regarding shipment status, scheduling changes, and order details
- Maintain detailed and accurate records, including driver logs, shipment documentation, and customer communications
- Collaborate with warehouse personnel to ensure accurate and on-time order fulfillment
- Address routine issues, escalate concerns as needed, and contribute to smooth daily operations
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable with a strong sense of accountability and follow-through
- Proficient in phone, email, and basic digital communication tools
- Basic computer skills, including data entry and record management
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in warehousing, logistics, or transportation environments
- Familiarity with driver check-in procedures and dock operations
- Experience with scheduling systems or warehouse management software (WMS)
