Customer Service Representative I
Overview
Sentara Health is seeking a full‑time remote Customer Service Representative. This is a full‑time day‑shift position; candidates must reside in the Virginia Beach or Hampton Roads area and be able to travel on‑site if connectivity issues arise. The role involves handling telephone inquiries from members or patients regarding eligibility, prescription benefits, claim payments, and patient services such as updating billing information, establishing payment plans, resolving payment inquiries, and scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Handle incoming calls to address member eligibility, plan prescription benefits, and claim payment issues.
- Assist with patient services needs including updating billing information, establishing payment plans, resolving payment inquiries, and patient scheduling.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of customer service experience.
- Previous data entry experience.
- Prior scheduling experience.
- Familiarity with Epic Beaker (preferred).
- Experience in a high‑volume call center (preferred).
Schedule
Standard working hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Pay
Base pay range: $20.65 – $30.78 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on‑call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra‑shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Actual pay within the range varies based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
