Responsibilities

Assist customers in person, by phone, and via email with billing inquiries, service requests, account changes, payment options, rates, and water consumption concerns.

Process customer payments, new service applications, service cancellations, deposits, and refunds.

Generate bills, notices, reports, adjustments, and work orders.

Review meter reading data and assist with high-consumption and leak-related inquiries.

Support collection activities and payment arrangements.

Dispatch personnel for service calls and emergencies via radio communication.

Maintain accurate customer records, files, and departmental inventories.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school (GED considered)
  • 3 or more years of job-related experience
  • Considerable experience in MS Office Programs; utility billing experience a plus
  • Experience in an office setting with extensive public contact and general knowledge of standard office methods and procedures
  • The ability to work as a team in meeting daily deadlines.

Pay

Hiring Salary Range: $52,745 - $63,294
