Customer Service Representative, Heart Center

Responsibilities
- Perform tasks necessary to promote efficient departmental functions and operations in the Heart Center.
- Handle daily activities including patient scheduling, timely and accurate data entry into multiple computer systems, verifying insurance coverage and obtaining authorizations for services.
- Prepare charts, fax and disposition of medical records, ready patients for visits per department protocols.
- Assist with answering phones and patient registration.
- Provide backup coverage for other clerical staff members in their absence.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 1‑year experience as a Customer Service Assistant (with OMC or equivalent as determined by OMC).
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Completed required training and ability to work at all Heart Center locations.
- Medical Assistant certificate preferred.
Pay
Full‑time (100% FTE). Pay range: $21.33 – $29.45 per hour. Union: UFCW 3000‑Support Services. Shift differentials/premiums: Evening – $3.00/hour; Night – $5.00/hour; Weekend – $4.50/hour; Standby – $3.50/hour; Lead – $3.25/hour; Per Diem – 15% of base (in lieu of benefits). Weekend and holiday shifts: none; on‑call shifts: none.
Schedule
Day shift, full‑time (100% FTE). No weekend/holiday or on‑call shifts required.
