Customer Service Representative (flexible availability)

About the Role

Magnolia Bakery, renowned for its classic American baked goods and warm atmosphere, is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role is pivotal in fielding guest inquiries, guiding customers through product options, and coordinating special events, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls in a friendly, professional manner and direct incoming calls.
• Learn and adhere to production rules and timings specific to the store.
• Enter and manage customer orders, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries.
• Assist customers in selecting baked goods tailored to their special occasions, sometimes guiding them toward alternative options.
• Track order information in the database and monitor “special” orders for smooth execution.
• Coordinate and communicate “special” orders with management and the store-level team.
• Handle logistics, transportation, and delivery of orders, including event props.
• Ensure availability of props, special supplies, and sprinkles for all orders and events.
• Work events as needed and complete required paperwork or training materials.
• Assume counter staff duties during downtime.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Standing and walking for periods of 3-5 hours without rest breaks.
• Occasional moderate to heavy lifting, carrying, bending, and reaching overhead.
• Continuous talking, hearing, and vision (near and depth perception) for communication and operational tasks.
• Manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment.
