Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of clerical support duties, including answering telephones and greeting visitors.
  • Review and process consumer and business customer deposits made through remote channels using the Fiserv Deposit Review system (SCO).
  • Courteously and promptly answer customer questions and service requests or refer them to appropriate personnel.
  • Process customer remote deposits through Mobile Deposit, ATMs, or Merchant Capture according to bank policy and procedures.
  • Answer questions and resolve problems related to Retail and Business Mobile Deposit and ATM Deposit for customers.
  • Inform management, customers, and/or branch personnel of any issues or problems promptly.
  • Coordinate and perform tasks related to the SCO program, including assisting branch personnel with branch capture item processing issues, adding new employees to the SCO program, and resetting SCO passwords.
  • Assist merchant capture clients with item processing issues.
  • Provide support for accounting and financial services and related clerical functions as needed.
  • Answer telephone and professionally respond to telephone and email questions, ensuring communications are accurate, thorough, and error-free.
  • Receive and screen visitors and telephone calls, notifying staff members or recording and relaying messages; conduct visitors to proper offices.
  • Provide assistance to Processing Center and Debit Card Personnel as needed.
  • Maintain effective communication and business relations with customers, responding to or referring questions promptly and courteously.
  • Gather required information and keep customers appropriately informed.
  • Keep management informed of area activities and any significant problems or concerns.
  • Maintain the professional reputation of D.L. Evans Bank and promote the bank at all times.
  • Serve as a representative of D.L. Evans Bank and participate in community activities.
  • Seek opportunities to refer products and services for increased business to the bank.
  • Keep work area clean, secure, and well-maintained.
  • Complete special projects as assigned and attend meetings as required.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Accurate and attentive to detail.
  • Able to get along well with coworkers.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as professional telephone etiquette.
  • Well organized with good typing skills.
  • Strong proofreading skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software products and strong ability to use and navigate the Internet.
  • Willing and able to assist coworkers with various tasks.
