About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Customer Service Representative to join our team at SelectUSA, a vital part of the U.S. Department of Commerce. SelectUSA promotes and facilitates business investment into the United States, having facilitated over $400 billion in investment and created or retained more than 270,000 jobs since inception. As the first point of contact for businesses and stakeholders, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission to strengthen the U.S. economy by providing exemplary service and essential information to a diverse, international audience.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound enquiries from businesses, investors, and economic development organisations via phone, email, and web platforms.
- Provide accurate and timely information regarding SelectUSA's services, the U.S. investment climate, and relevant federal programmes.
- Carefully assess the nature of enquiries and escalate complex issues to the appropriate specialists or partner government entities.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all client interactions and communications within our CRM system.
- Assist with administrative tasks to support the wider team, including data entry, report generation, and scheduling.
- Support the organisation and execution of events, webinars, and investment missions.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure a seamless and professional experience for all stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a customer service, client relations, or administrative role, preferably within a professional or corporate environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for conveying information clearly and concisely.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience using CRM software.
- A professional, proactive, and customer-focused approach.
Qualifications
- A degree in Business, Communications, International Relations, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of economic development or international business would be a significant advantage.
