Customer Service Representative - Best Friends Pet Hotel

About the role

Our Customer Service Representatives are passionate animal lovers who provide our human and pet guests with “wow” service. CSRs are our first points of contact with guests and focus on building great relationships. We are an employee-owned and operated company with over 80 locations in twenty-six states, offering many growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Main lobby operations: check-ins, check-outs, guest visits and tours, answering general questions
• Answering and handling calls in a professional manner
• Maintaining cleanliness of the facility
• Scheduling and file maintenance
• Data entry
• Welcoming both human and pet guests
• Correctly identifying animal body language and behavior
• Following safe handling procedures
• Checking in and out pet guests while providing excellent customer service
• Escorting pets to and from their rooms
• Taking reservations over the phone
• Working both individually and as a team player
• Contributing to the cleanliness of the facility
• Communicating with management and other team members

Requirements

• Possess a love of animals
• Display a professional manner at all times
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Lift and carry 40 pounds or more
• Able to stand or walk for eight hours a day
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work on a computer system
• Able to handle dogs on leashes and work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander, and excretions

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent
• At least 1 year of professional animal experience

Pay

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $15.00–$17.00 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, qualifications, schedule availability, shift differentials, and business needs.
