About the role

The Office of the Bursar is a focal point for financial and business matters on the UAF Troth Yeddha' campus. It serves a very large number of students, faculty, staff, agencies, and the general public in a wide range of activities. The quality of service provided is often a determining factor in the perception of the university as a whole.

Responsibilities

  • Work experience in an entry-level fiscal position or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of UA policies, procedures, and computer systems as applies to students, accounts receivable, and finance.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Ability to operate standard business machines, 10-key, computers, and computer software. Proficiency using word processing, spreadsheet software and working with confidential information.
  • Must possess good analytical/problem solving skills and oral/written communication skills (spelling, grammar, composition).
  • Able to work independently and productively as a team member.
  • Skill in organization, time management, dealing with the public, and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work well under stress, be flexible in the face of changing demands, changing timelines, and varying pressures while maintaining productivity and excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • One year of college coursework in accounting or equivalent or an equivalent combination of training, experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
  • Must have at least 3 or more years of high level customer service experience.

Pay

ESTIMATED: $33,505 per year
