Customer Service Representative

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to support a manufacturing operation in Illinois. This contract position focuses on delivering responsive service, managing customer orders, and helping ensure a smooth experience from order receipt through shipment. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-focused, and comfortable working across teams to resolve questions, track order activity, and maintain strong customer relationships. Responsibilities:• Build strong day-to-day relationships with customers by providing timely, detail-oriented, and solution-focused support.• Enter and manage customer orders with a high degree of accuracy while maintaining reliable records in the order management system.• Send prompt order acknowledgements and follow up with customers to confirm receipt and clarify any discrepancies.• Act as a central point of contact for customer concerns by coordinating with internal teams to address product, delivery, and account-related issues.• Monitor service and fulfillment performance, prepare related reports, and share updates on order status and delivery results.• Work closely with logistics to maintain freight information and support compliance with customer-specific shipping agreements.• Review shipping activity and proactively communicate with customers or internal partners when orders are delayed or at risk of missing schedule commitments.• Prepare and maintain customer account reports, communicate relevant updates to customers and sales partners, and provide coverage for additional accounts when needed.• Verify order entry accuracy through daily cross-checks and assist with general follow-up correspondence and other assigned support tasks. The salary range for this position is $23/hr to $24/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
