Job Summary

This position is responsible for processing customer orders and providing customers with the information needed to best understand our products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and accurately process customer orders via phone, website, email, and EDI systems
  • Process internal orders for specialty and house accounts
  • Maintain customer-specific order processing procedures
  • Provide knowledgeable assistance regarding product availability, pricing, and services
  • Contact customers daily to confirm order details and specifications
  • Research and resolve shipping, pricing, delivery, and invoice discrepancies
  • Review and manage customer backorders
  • Handle customer concerns and complaints professionally
  • Support the outside sales team with administrative tasks
  • Cook up with transportation/logistics departments for shipping quotes
  • Process National Account and end-user billing transactions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of customer service and/or call center experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong multitasking and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high call volume
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Professional attitude with strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
