Job Summary
This position is responsible for processing customer orders and providing customers with the information needed to best understand our products and services.
Responsibilities
- Receive and accurately process customer orders via phone, website, email, and EDI systems
- Process internal orders for specialty and house accounts
- Maintain customer-specific order processing procedures
- Provide knowledgeable assistance regarding product availability, pricing, and services
- Contact customers daily to confirm order details and specifications
- Research and resolve shipping, pricing, delivery, and invoice discrepancies
- Review and manage customer backorders
- Handle customer concerns and complaints professionally
- Support the outside sales team with administrative tasks
- Cook up with transportation/logistics departments for shipping quotes
- Process National Account and end-user billing transactions
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of customer service and/or call center experience preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high call volume
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Professional attitude with strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
