Customer Service Rep

D.W. Distribution, an SBP company, is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our values-based organization at our Lancaster, TX Door Shop.

About the role

In this position, you will field inbound sales calls, build relationships with retail and big-box customers, respond to pricing and quotation requests, handle complaints, schedule deliveries, and provide customer follow-ups. You will also place orders, coordinate with our operations department, and partner with the outside sales team to maximize sales efforts and uncover opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming and outgoing calls related to sales inquiries for new and established customers to provide pricing, availability, and product information.
• Execute strategic plans in coordination with the outside sales team, addressing customer inquiries about product selection, order placement, pricing, quotations, complaints, and delivery scheduling.
• Provide customer follow-ups to ensure needs are met.
• Inform customers of unit pricing, shipping dates, anticipated delays, and any additional requested information.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics within the retail sector.

Requirements

• High school diploma (2-year degree preferred).
• 2–4 years of sales experience; building industry experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, including a service-oriented telephone manner.
• Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and motivation.
• Good understanding of business and selling principles, including negotiation skills.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Basic math and analytical skills.
