Customer Service Rep

Job Summary

The Customer Service Representative in Public Access supports the Clerk’s Office by ensuring accurate processing of transactions and compliance with applicable laws and administrative orders. This role prioritizes attention to detail and interacts confidently with the public in a fast-paced customer service environment. The position is responsible for executing clerical and administrative tasks, facilitating public access to records, and ensuring strict compliance with confidentiality statutes.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries related to accessing official records and court records.
• Facilitate public access to the records of the Clerk’s office, ensuring strict compliance with confidentiality statutes.
• Navigate complex legal documentation and ensure proper indexing of records to uphold the integrity of both official and court records maintenance systems.
• Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, managing time efficiently and effectively.
• Communicate courteously and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in continuity of operations planning (COOP) to ensure essential court services remain operational during emergencies.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or Doctorate.
• Relevant Field: Business, Business Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications, English, Criminal Justice, or a related discipline.
• Relevant Experience: Proven experience working in a legal or judicial setting, records management, customer service, or a related administrative role, preferably in a highly regulated industry.
